One of the most important parts of the process can be the selection of lighting that stylizes the space and influences it to look complimenting. The lighting truly contributes in enhancing the sophistication of the closet.

Lights are generally installed right above the apparel, because, what's the point of spending so much in organizing and turning the things simpler, if you can't really envision what you have?"

One of the attractive things about the closet design is the island in the center, which offers a ton of storage space for accessories, from sunglasses to bags and mementos. Turning the place effortless with sliding shutters, where the user can scan the collection, grab and go.

Crisp colors on the walls can be a perfect canvas for a walk-in closet giving it a fresh look. Many people desire for a fresh and clean space where their clothes and accessories could really be the star.

While this walk-in closet can be completely door less for practical reasons like being able to scan the entire wardrobe in one go, the walk-ins can be completely lockable as well with doors.

People who are fond of making a footwear collection, it certainly makes sense to incorporate spotlights in their walk- ins by opting for some exposed shelves.

Simply, shoe stacking is a great way to remain sorted instead of tossing them in a pile on the floor.

Some Important Numbers to Keep in Mind

· An apparel closet should have a minimum depth of at least 25 inches, so that the clothes can clear the back wall.

· Shelves for women's shoes should be spaced about 6 to 7 inches apart.

· Shelves for folded clothes should be placed around 12 inches apart.

· 84 inches is considered the minimum height to hold double hanging rods.

· Blouses and shirts will take up about 1 inch of rod space, pants and skirts around 1 1/4 inches and dresses, jackets and suits about 2 to 3 inches.

Remember the numbers above are a general guideline. If you or someone in your home is especially tall, wears larger-than-average shoes or has a good number of extra-high heels, you might find that standard-sized shoe cupboards to be too small or the height for hanging clothes on rods needs to be adjusted. If you don't feel comfortable taking lots of measurements, one of the advantages of having a professionally installed closet system is that someone trained to take measurements will ensure all the numbers add up. It depends on your budget and your level of comfort and experience.
